A series of waist-high maps near the pier in Waterfront Park offer views of various scale of the Charleston coastline. It had rained a bit the day we visited the park, so the lower areas on the maps -- which feature some texture to show elevational differences in the landforms and the rivers and ocean -- were appropriately full of water.
